F.A.K.E. is an acronym for Fashion for Animal Kingdom & Environment.

We are all compassionate beings that love to express ourselves with what we wear every day.

One thing that we have failed in the past to recognize is how our consumption is a system of unethical practices. We have supported this unfair ugly system for a long time.

This is where the FAKE movement was born.

FAKERs today, tomorrow and in the future are a group of people working together to advance the fashion industry into a vegan, ethical and sustainable industry.

WHY?

Today, thousands of animals are mistreated, enslaved and killed for leather, wool, silk, fur… All in the name of fashion.

As fashion lovers we are haunted by these numbers and practices. Unfortunately, the injustices in the fashion industry does not end there.

Humans are also negatively impacted by the Fast Fashion industry. Leather tanning, a standard practice in the leather making industry uses harmful chemicals that continue to cause harmful health problems among the people producing our fashion items. These practices have killed thousands of people. Fashion workers worldwide are victim of mistreatment, unfair wages, child labour and many more unethical practices.

Our environment is another victim of our practices. The fashion industry dumps harmful chemicals, or anything we consider trash into our oceans and land. Recently, it has come to our attention that brands are also burning garments, which is another addition to negative environmental practices. Water usage during the process of making a fashion items is tremendously unsustainable, and our use of water continue with the consumer in the care process (washing and drying garments). Transportation of fashion goods across the world also adds to the destruction of our environment.

It is our responsibility to change our way of consuming. But let’s be honest, it’s not very easy to find nice cruelty-free & ethical fashion.

This is why F.A.K.E. movement gives you options and help you to make that change!

How?

FAKERs are selected designers from around the world that offer vegan, ethical and sustainable fashion products.

The FAKE movement offers events such as pop-ups, trade shows, fashion shows, educational museums, virtual panels, live activism, interviews, and sometimes free discounts and promotions. These events help our FAKERs to showcase their brands and innovations to a network of like-minded consumers from all over the world. Our Network has expanded internationally into now three major cities LOS ANGELES, TEL AVIV, PARIS and virtual worldwide.

As a supported/ attendee and consumer of the FAKE brands, you are automatically considered a FAKER!

It’s simple as 1 + 1 = 2.

The more FAKER we are, the more designers would want to create Ethical fashion :)

WHO?

Any creative or designer can be part of our movement as long as they meet the FAKER conditions.

Designers or brands must develop vegan products ethically made. 

Fakers are OPEN-MINDED:

Brands interested in transitioning to vegan, sustainable and ethically made fashion products are welcome to become FAKERs and we are here to facilitate the process. The process can either be easy or difficult, but it is possible. The F.A.K.E. MOVEMENT is here to create positive change in existing brands and uplift new brands that have already started their vegan, ethical and sustainable journey.
